Limited edition international compilation leaning mainly on the young Russian community`s contribution to the Israeli underground scene. The Russians were always relatively isolated (by choice) from the native Israeli scenes due to an often-justified disdain of various Mediterranean manifestations of ignorance, superficiality and vulgarity. Only recently some blessed cultural diffusion is apparent and the scene blossoms in result. The only act on this double CD compilation that may be known to lovers of dark ambient is Chaos As Shelter, offering a relatively harder track here. The first few tracks here offer abstract industrial illbient comparable to classic compilations like Isolationism, Axiom Dub and Paraphysical Cybertronics. <djrED.I>, one of the few Israelis offers echoing, psychedelic, reverberating post-rock, as well as garage exotica with lo-fi beats in his collaboration with Charlie Megira, Hanemerim. David Krupnik presents excellent minimalist modern-classical. The Man With Tea Gum play cartoon digital hardcore. Haven`t heard such ingenious idiocy since Shizuo. Igor18 is Captain Beefheart were he a stoner midget on DHR. Antiochus sound like a Soviet arcade game, like a Manga Costaritza. Ekran is Blade Runner set in Africa. And so much more!
